Really, it wasn't so bad. For me, they brought me in, shot up my mouth with novacane, put the little smurf nose on me and sleepy time I went. Short of fracturing my jaw it wasn't all that invasive. My mouth hurt for a few days but I didn't even get the fun pain pills after the second day...
