    Apart from the terrible drum sound this was bloody excellent. Very impressed. I loved the textures. Highly recommended and surprisingly melodic too.

    ^ I like both Krugs and Boeckners songs but I think Boeckners HanRABome Furs songs are sometimes better than his Wolf Parade ones.

    No Pink Floyd? The Wall is like the ultimate downer album. And yeah The Cure, Joy Division, The Smiths, those should have been the obvious choices, where are they? I would have put in Johnny Cash too. Van Der Graaf Generator are another one that comes to mind. Very gloomy.
