Oh god no. I can't stand either of those albums. BSSM marked the beginning of a precipitous drop in quality from the Chili Peppers IMO.

Nice review on one of the best live soul albums ever. On a par with James Brown's, Live at the Apollo. Singing live was what he was really all about and he was able to sing the songs he wrote, live, without his style being buried under unsympathetic studio production. This is the real Sam Cooke.

None of the new releases appeal to me, but this month's haul is the Vampire Princess Miyu tv show. Only bad part is that I have to buy through multiple marketplace sellers, so the shipping is just about as much as the discs. Still, 8 a piece is better than what I would have to pay on ebay.
