Christ..what is the point of this movie. The TV show is shot in real time. So 24 episodes is one full day. What are they going to call the movie? '2 hours' or 'An Hour and a Half'. They should just leave it as a tv show. Has no need to be made into a film.

This originally came out back in 1976 with Jodie Foster playing Anabel. They seem to have changed the surnames of the characters and updated it. I think it was on ITV over christmas, with the advert for the new one at the cinema half way through.

One of the major problems with British cinema is the actual distribution. They just shy away from anything that is not ultra mainstream. So whole sections of European cinema (that includes the UK, by the way) just don't get seen. In that respect, British cinemas are just an extension of the US...

They've been hyping it for a year but, to be fair, there's less than a month to go now and, as there aren't many (any?) big Xmas films coming up compared to previous years it has a good chance of doing well methinks. Having seen the baby penguin in the trailer in IMAX 3D, I'm sold!

Yeah English language. It's just kind of a deep and hollow sound. Singing on the OO vowel (as in food) and making it a point to keep it real deep and hollow helps too. Make sure your jaws down quite a bit to get the hollow tone.

Well I haven't seen it...but I know the books well and the whole idea of the books is to make dreadful things happen to the 3 kiRAB and never give them a happy ending.....although brilliant and still suitable for kiRAB I'm guessing that the whole story aswell as the ending would upset your son...
