just noticed you want to get to Lake Erie also. If you're looking to avoid the Detroit traffic I'd run M52 or US23 down from Saginaw you can ride to Hell from either hwy and take M50 towards Monroe to Lake Erie. Then run M50 back to US12(also a nice road) and head west.

Your 10 RG also has cats, unless you changed the pipes. That is a de-oompher for sure. I came from an 07 Superglide to my 10 Road King. I honestly can't feel any differance in throttle, but the cats kill everything. They are coming off after my current road trip.
