It's Star Trek Jim, but not as we know it!

I'm not a 'Trekkie' but when I was a small child the original series was constantly on TV - even though it had been cancelled years previously - and it became my favourite show. The films and spin-off series never grabbed me. I liked the new film a lot but I had one big problem with it....I...

PTM going to turn out like ScT? - Take donations and run?

@ Idol: Since you have blue stars, you can probably speak on his behalf. @ Feeling: I know all too well how long such things take. I'm patient. I wonder if the replacement will be up before then.

I Demand My Money Back!! The Worst Films You've Ever Had To Sit Through

The title of the thread suggests that you'd have paid to see these movies. Surely on some level you should expect these films you've mentioned to be gash, and certainly wouldn't pay to see them. Or at least I'd imagine most people wouldn't.

No, I'm serious unfortunately. I agree it's a classic and should be left alone. But there is a lot of talk that a remake is on the carRAB.

    STN closing down?

There is some ppl that cant stand a little power, like yocto, who became an arrogant prick and a truly dictator. Didnt you said that you were going to be like another member? And wtf is that about "educating people"? Maybe you are the un-educated. I gave the place a couple months after they...

The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

I know I said before that I don't think Ace Of Base would be appearing at MelFest anytime soon , but listening to the clips from their new album I could see more than one of the songs being perfect for the competition. It'd be good publicity for their comeback too, unless of course they failed...

    Quantum of Solace

In its defence this isn't true though others have said it. I watched it with this criticism in mind and found several dark one liners. One that springs to mind is 'he came to a dead end'. Maybe they should have put a 'boom tish' drum bit at the end so people got the gag/s ;)

Do you agree with Spielberg about special effects?

I agree to an extent. With the advent of CGI, there is nothing that cannot be portrayed and realised on screen in a visual sense. And the major problem with that is that a lot of filmakers go for spectacle over substance. Films are sold on such spectacles, and those effects sequences look...
