I think that's pretty much what Jonathan Mostow has in mind for the film and that's what some people don't want because it'll be too different.

IMO, none of the films are a tad on the books. However, the third one is my favourite, except I cringe at the "HE WAS THEIR FRIEND" speech. I hated the fourth movie, but then again I wasn't keen on the fourth book. Hopefully, 'Deathly Hallows' will be immense, even if it is done in two parts.

By the way, Rambo NEVER says "Don't push me". He says "Don't push IT. Don't push it, or I'll give you a war you won't believe". Earlier in the squad car with Teasle (Brian Dennehy), he asks "Why are you pushing me ?" Maybe this is where the confusion (?) arises !
