    well I have spent a week with the V635...and your right the UI really does suck. I have changed settings again and again and spent hours with the UI and I still get lost in the menus. Plus, the second I loaded a few megabytes if music onto the T-flash card the phone's speed was cut in half...

    Barebone phone for calls

    My uncle is looking to get a no-frills phone for calls only. He will be using it infrequently so he plans on getting a Tmobile ToGo Prepaid account meaning he will need an unlocked GSM phone. Price range is $150 tops but the cheaper the better. Any suggestions are welcome.

    okay, realistically, maybe 2-3. no joke. it's still ridiculously slow and i've owned plenty of phones to know how fast edge is. a full page of OT with images may load that fast, but try loading a thread that has 4-5 animated gifs on it. tell me if it still loads in 20 seconds.

    Nokia E70 Question?

    In my experience the antenna signal indicator swings around an awful lot, but it doesn't seem to have much impact on actual call quality - which I find to be generally good. (ie, I can have a perfectly normal conversation while the signal indicator drops to 1 or 2 bars). -J
