The N80 cing prototype does vibrate. You just had to upgrade the firmware. As the prototype firmware was made just to test it, not use all of it's abilities.

I am pretty sure by doing that you would lose your warranty and the cingular branding, like no more IM, cingular themes, etc... I am thinking that the loss of warranty would be the biggest problem. Like when you call cingular and tell them your phone is messed up and they just tell you too...
