This is the first I've heard it. I'm also at a loss why they would record a new dub when the original was still quite decent and fairly new. I guess Appleseed is lucrative ENOUGH where doing a re-dub is feasible for a blu-ray release. Just sort of surprised if Sentai/Section 23 would do a dub...

This was my first exposure to Clannad. I'm guessing After Story is much better, because otherwise I can't see how it could be the best rated anime on both ANN lists and MAL. Still, I liked what I saw enough that I'll be buying the first bilingual DVD set.
