It's enjoyable, it doesn't grab you right away but I think it will grow on me. Plus I have barely began to appreciate it lyrically which is important with albums like this.
You seem to think that I'm hating on these albums. But, if you take that statement in the context of the rest of my post (as you should), you would discover that I have not listened to them yet.
And before you say "well that's just close-minded and you're not giving them a fair chance", I fell...
Found myself enticed enough to buy NIN's Ghosts album the other day.... just the thought of it has me curious, really.... all that instrumental - ness, its gotta be goodness for my ears...
hey just joined.... i'm looking for out for some good dream music, cant really think of another way to explain it, some examples would be:
black sabbath - planet caravan
santana - aqua marine
santana - song of the wind
or something broken social scene-ish ( you forgot it in people album)...
Age Sixteen- Open Up Finders, Please
It's a shame they broke up, they have a very similar sound to Suis La Lune (my favorite screamo band), amazing twinkly guitar work, very good vocals for the genre, just a very good album.
Broken Bells :D
Deltron 3030
Gorillaz
Four Tet
The Magnetic FielRAB
Panda Bear
Liars
Xiu Xiu
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Walkmen
School of Seven Bells
Joan of Arc's new album is a neat idea but could end badly
Still hoping for rabV...
Oh, and I thought some of you'd have been interested in Kraftwerk.
the problem truly is accessibility...
if i find myself really digging a particular band or artist, i'm so quick just to download their whole discography because i'm so excited to hear more.
but if i don't end up liking their whole discography (which happens A LOT), i get stuck with tons of...
Reed's guitar playing is so incredible throughout the album. I'd rate this a ten because I always smirk when I listen to the creepiness of that tale called "the Gift"...I'm mean how effin stoopid was that dude in the box?
^ There was a chain post that went around facebook quite a while back that looked exactly like that, except you had to shuffle your iTunes/WMP/whatever and fill it in that way. Good for a laugh, especially when a song called Child Of Flames turns out to be your waking up tune.
