There are no games listed on the hd channels in the epg up to March 26th, which is as far ahead as the guide goes in my 6100 receiver. I wouldn't expect any hd games until March 31st.

You are correct, PBS HD East has been missing for about a week now. We are getting PBS HD West (KCTS hd Seattle) on both east and west hd feeds. I would assume this was done to save bandwidth. The loss in pq is noticeable with 3 hd channels on one transponder. I'm ready for a change in providers.

I cancelled my Sunday Ticket because of the "up to 6 games in HD" promotions by Bell. Was that number correct? Last year they had 9. Sorry to hear about the poor pq on the hd channels. Hope it's not a bandwidth problem, because they are adding more channels this fall and winter.

I agree with markb that the hd games in the Extra Innings package look soft. It was the same last year. Bell TV is my only legal choice as my local cable company offers the package in sd only.

I would like the option to subscribe to only hd channels. As far as I know, this would break CRTC regulations, but it sure would be nice to not pay for alot of sd channels I never watch. How many mandatory carriage sd channels are there in digital basics?

Also, the Twins at Mets in HD were listed in their schedule on Bev's website for Tues. and Wed. June 19th and 20th, but both games never showed up. They were available in sd.

I'm not a fan of the Seahawks either, and prefer to watch teams in the AFC. I forgot about CITY Vancouver as I never watch it. I only watch games if they are in hd. Saw a promo today on Rogers Sportsnet saying that Seattle @ Arizona was available in hd. Others say that game will be widescreen sd.

CanWest Global now owns these two new(to expressvu) hd channels, so I would't expect the hd/sd ratio to improve. It might even decrease as new programming is expensive.

In an earlier post I stated that I thought the pq of MLB Extra Innings HD package has recently degraded. I am comparing the same channels and same sports broadcasters, before 8PSK conversion and after. I haven't noticed any pq loss on Sportsnet HD or TSN HD, just the extra cost hd baseball...

Everyone should do that. They might notice. I'm going to get rid of some channels. I sub to lots of channels that I never look at. I'm still waiting for the option to sub to hd channels only, and not have any sd. Probably a year or two before we get that option.
