Jojoba and camellia oil are very good for dry skin. I love especially the Silkia camellia oil which not only moisturizes very well but also helped my acne pitted scars to heal.

Try a product with 2% Salicylic Acid such as Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel.

You don't need to use a moisturizer if your skin doesn't feel dry. You can use a serum and apply a sunscreen on top when you go out. Most sunscreens won't make your skin dry.

There's nothing wrong, especially if you wait an hour or two. If you don't moisturize the tretinoin can be too strong and irritating for the skin, causing redness and peelies. I can't use it without a moisturizer.

I think the burning comes with the 5% BP. 5% is quite strong. You can switch to 2.5% - it's just as effective but much less harsh on the skin. Neutrogena has a spot treatment cream with 2.5% BP. Check it out.

The Silkia oil and Epidermx are great for scars but I don't know if they would help melasma significantly. The Epidermx may help a little.

Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA Souffle is very good at fading my red acne scars.

Have you used any product with Benzoyl Peroxide or Sulphur? They help. A dairy free diet would help minimize pimples under the skin. You can use cold compress to help reducing the swelling.
