Very true. It is a classic. BUT if you ever get the chance to watch Wes Craven's 80s remake - DON'T BOTHER - Load of CRAP!!! He really ruined it. Can't understand why someone would take a good movie and wreck it like that. :mad:

Mr beans holiday, Spiderman 3 and Shrek 3 - big dissapointments from 2007. The simpsons movie restored my faith in the TVshows /movies that i love. It was almost perfect in everyway, with a strong, interesting plot, emotional moments and really funny scenes. "OH WHY DID I SUGGEST THIS?!" lol...

I thought it was weak, personally. I expected more from Polanski. Ewan was good. Dont get me wrong, i like a slow burner, but this kind of political / conspiracy intrigue has been done a lot better. Needed to flesh out the plot in my opinion.

CoM is an interesting choice to adapt. It makes sense as it is the first book, therefore is a way to introduce characters & the environment, and leaves the door open to further Rincewind adaptions (5 more books). However, it is an open-ended story which would be dissappointing unless it was...

Hmmmmm....... I do agree with your comments Arwen but I still really enjoyed the movie. However, only enough to wait for DVD (Im a multitimer at the cinema usually)
