I think Dark Tranquillity has been a top band for awhile now, and are still pumping out quality music. Protest the Hero and Meshuggah are pretty good though too.

Dave Grohl is not an average musician. in my opinion, he is special. Kurt Cobain was a lyricist of the highest order, but lacked vocal talent. Dave Grohl has the whole package.
