I got this on dvd a few months back, really enjoyed it. SPL(I think outside of Asia it's called something stupid like Kill Zone) is one I enjoyed more though, standout fight sequences in this.
There is an IP sequel on the way.
The full 40-min feature is available on www.Dailymotion.com in HD. I saw a theatrical premiere yesterday at Sci-Fi London and have to say it looked amazing on the big screen in HD-Cam projection. An incredible achievement for a group of young filmmakers with very limited budget. If you haven't...
Boy A is very good - it makes you think.
Don't seem to have seen as many films this year as I normally do, but top of my list has to be Sweeney Todd, In Bruges and Changeling.
Personally I found Dark Knight overrated.
They'll keep making these as long as they make a good profit sort of like the F13th series.
Interest will probably wane after the sixth, but I reckon they will get 8 Saw movies done for sure.
I've just seen this, my other half wanted to see it so I went with her, and though it was very predictable it was actually OK. From a girl's point of view it was great so I am told. She was crying anyway and so were a few other girls in the cinema.
Its funny how in action films they kill all the henchmen casual as you like, but when it comes to killing the boss there is hesitation and emotional conflict. The hero won't pull the trigger. No problem killing the employees though!
I too am beginning to question this phenomenon; I'm getting a little bit sick of them releasing multiple editions so close together! I remember buying my 'Clerks' Region One Two-Disc Special Edition, only to find that a 3-Disc Edition was coming out a few months later!!!
I suppose they do it...
