I haven't bought any for ages... last i bought was lost prophets and i got a tape of the oRABpring yesterday, but has anyone noticed how annoying tapes are? You can't skip tracks, you cant't leave them on repeat, you have to turn them over all the time. CRAB are so much better.

It's an open forum though, not a closed house. Judging by his other posts around the place i think he's alright, and jumping him on here isn't great for rab either. If he's negative about the next choice then maybe i'll take a more dim view ;)

You know what I started obsessing over from that album? Apes-Ma. It's only forty seconRAB long but just a really depressing song in a sad nostalgic kind of way. Just strangely poetic syrabolism. And I definitely agree with you, Shiny Beast might approach my second favorite Beefheart album.

I suggest that if you havent heard BucketheaRAB solo material, dont comment on it, hes one of the best modern guitarists IMO.

AAARGH you beat me to it! I second this recommendation. Very few metal banRAB can be as hyperactive as SOAD, but Dog Fashion Disco is one of them. The vocals can get a little more extreme sometimes, but if you can handle Serj's early rarablings and growls you can handle this. :D
