It's not metal. It's a disgrace. and Perfection, I included As I Lay Dying not out of personal prefrence (I'm not a huge fan), but rather because I think they better typify the "metalcore" sound. Unearth is much more technical and well, metal, than AILD. good band though.

I prefer the voice when it's used as an instrument, so for me lyrics should sound pretty more than they should convey a message.

not all classical music is sad and whatnot but for the most part i think it can be one of the most melancholy genres out there. it says volumes without lyrics.
