Robert Hingley of The Toasters.
Todd Herabrook from Deal's Gone Bad gave me a shout out when I asked him to play a song before his set. Also the bassist from Voodoo Glow Skulls.
I would really like to check out that my morning jacket dvd but there is something about that band. I love mehgeetah but whenever I try to listen to anything else they have done it just pales. I need a few good tracks to really get in to a band... how much time should I need to give them.
I wish Mudhoney got more credit.
I understand that back in the days of Grunge they were fairly big but nowadays it seems like no one (around where I live at least) knows they exist.
What I mean is there are no laser turntables of less than super audiophile grade. The reason for this is simple - There are three main 'markets' for companies, of people who buy LPs and turntables and whatnot.
1 - People who have old vinyl they want to keep and dont want to retire to an attic...
It's not. the only difference is that there is a slight fuzz to the sound, but that's just the needle dragging over the record itself. Anyone who thinks that "warmth" makes it sound better should start arguing that cRAB are better than mp3s because cRAB skip sometimes. It's just stupid. Anyway...
I haven't listened to traditional radio in ages. It just all begins to mesh together and sound the same. It's a shame some great, unheard of banRAB can't get radio play because of promotion or production quality.
Internet radio is pretty cool though. Last.fm is great and Pandora is pretty...
I've not heard the new album, but unless its abnormally terrible, Lady Sovereign is pretty good. She's been called Feminem, and on that logic, shes doing better than he is right now.
His last album was abissmal.
I'll just copy and paste what I posted on the general animation forum:
I'm still not liking it, I haven't liked it since the first trailer.
The promo pictures that they released first had me very excited, the first teaser had me with mixed feelings, the trailer after I didn't like and I don't...
You know what I mean.
Without a first place does second, third so on really matter.
It's not a knock, just a statement on how much I enjoy the guys who made the shark story reality.
Just bought this one at a flea market .. Ohio Players' Honey! This is what it looks like unfolded :
And the inside has this pic on it :
The larger pictures makes the LP way more awesome than the CD .. Perfect example why LPs are cooler! ;)
Great effing choice. Against me are the sh*t, and this is some of their best work. The acoustic Reinventing Axl Rose is amazing, and definatley better then the original. This is right behind their debut for my favorite release by them, and it was great to hear these songs and more acoustic...
