    I got melted plastic all over my kitchen's cooking plates, how to remove it?

    As the title says.. The plates are metal.. I was told by a mate to use acetone, and I was ready with a mounted wire-brush on my electric drill, but was told it could destroy the plates.. What to do? Thanks in advance!
