    Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I love this movie! But as well as all of the famous bits (the car-rental scene, the 'those are not pillows' scene etc), what strikes me with successive viewings is what a perfectly nuanced performance this was from John Candy. In fact, for me probably his best ever acting role. Sure, at...

Cloverfield 2 - What do you want to see?

I prefer it as a stand alone. Apart form making more money there seems to be a need for audiences to know everything these days. Personally as a viewer I prefer not to be given all the answers on screen. I don't need to know where the monster came from, it makes it more real if you like. If a...

    Alien Prequel

The first Aliens V Predator was kind of lame. There was no real bloody violence at all, and the storyline was quite appalling. There are some pretty decent 12 rated movies out there, but Alien doesn't belong in that category. I doubt the original movie would have been "as" good if it were not...

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I liked this film. Along with The Truman Show, it proves that Jim Carrey doesn't just do wacky. I was hoping The Number 23 would be of the same quality, but it wasn't the case

    Harshest Movie Ending

Ooo scary. But Thelma and Louise wasn't pure horribleness was it? There was a certain warmth to the final scene. Let's face it, Blair Witch made the whole world tremble... I of course knew it was only a film...
