I know that it has to do with he amount of oxygen contained such as:
nitride is -N
nitrite is -NO2
nitrate is -NO3
But let assume I want to write out Iron (III) oxide reacts with carbon monoxide to yield iron metal and carbon dioxide
I assume iron metal is just Fe ..what about carbon...
