    Can I reinforce a level 3A bullet proof vest with regular 1/4" thick 10" x 12" steel plates (not sapi, just mild carbon hardware store steel)? The vest has front and back 10" x 12" x 1" pockets. Will a 7.62 rifle round be able to penetrate hardware store quality 1/4" thick mild carbon steel alone?
