I got the one I have now brand new in a box. But that wasn't always the case. I've gotten several from thrift stores, sitting by the garbage can in the alley, and friends have given them to me also. I used to take them apart and take out and add different hardware.

Driving is pretty easy , but parking is a skill you have to learn. It helps if you have a small car to practice with. I drive a big old one ton flatbed truck and and I can park it on a dime (of course I've been driving for almost 20 years ). Just hang in there , you'll get it.
