    Help with dog, she is acting weird.?

    My friend's dog is whimpering. We were taking a walk and she suddenly stopped walking and started crying and scratching my leg. Now she looks very uneasy and breathing very heavily. This dog loves walks and is pretty athletic so we don't understand her noncooperation during the walk. Is this normal?
