    Is it a bad idea to write a short story completely in second person?

    I'm writing a short story to enter in a competition, and I want to write it in second person. Would you advise against this, and if so, why?

    When you know someone's been writing/saying bad things about you behind your back...?

    Do you get curious to know what it is they've said about you? I do. I think it's I kind of morbid fascination. My mum thinks it's weird that even if you don't really care, you still want to know what people are saying about you. What do you think?
