C1500 pick-up? I have a 1997 GMC C1500 2WD I know that the Caprice and GM 2WD C/K pick-ups have the same bolt pattern, but I want to put rear disc brakes on my truck and I was wondering if I change the backing plates will the Caprice's brakes bolt up.

No it will not hurt anything and it is possible for it to pass emissions with out mufflers as long as you still have the catalytic converter on it and as long as the exhaust exits out the side or rear of the truck, flush with the body. I did it on my 1997 GMC Sierra.
