i am looking to buy a fairly cheap phone but very good for its price and one of the best phones i can find is the samsung monte that's around my price range, but i was just wondering if its worth getting or if i should get a different phone,

my brother has an iphone 3GS and it's awesome, but i don't use my phone much in the way of texts and phone calls, and i haven't got enough money to buy the iphone, so is there a cheaper but almost as good phone i could get?
