    Those taurus's have an electic cooling fan. It could be the fan motor worn out and not working.

    It's possible, but why? You have a front wheel drive car. A spoiler will do you absolutely no good. Why waste money on that when you can go spend that money on parts that will actually make your ride nicer/faster?
