    How to activate bluetooth on my laptop?

    I have a Dell inspiron 1525. It has bluetooth. I have bluetooth on my phone. I have it activated & visible on my phone.. but how do I activate it on my laptop? Everytime I click search on my cell, it does not find anything... Do I have to use a USB that came with my phone & plug it in?? Help...
