Am looking for some plants to grow in a part-shade/sun garden in my front yard that are low maintenance(minimal pruning, etc), help deter weeds and preferably has flowers of some sort. I've already tried petunias but they become very messy after a while.

If they're an honest shop, they'll tell you flat out you should go to a restoration specialist and refuse to touch it. If they're dishonest, may the patron saint of vintage cars help you.

Turn the lights down and put on some Barry White. That should help.
