On Battfield Bad Company 2, When I try to look at my weapons and gadgets on the main menu, it pretty much is reset if i hadn't even played online. Is any one else having this issue and will it be fixed?

So I know it's a smart phone and requires you to pay internet but I get my internet for my computer through Verizon, so would the phone count in my normal internet bill or do I have to pay another $30 a month for the phone?
