    Mazda 323 1985 cuts out when put into drive - please help?

    Ive got a Mazda 323 1985 and it runs ok but as soon as I put it in gear, it cuts out. Sometimes I can put it into drive, but it runs really rough. Would you have any idea? Im desperate cos ive got to run my child to school and there's no bus. Thanks!!
