    Will apple service my jailbroken ipod touch?

    I did not get a warrenty. Currently my ipod is in dfu mode and when I try to restore it It stops right before the end. I've waited up to two and a half hours for it to finish but it never does. Can they tell that its jailbroken and will they service it. I really would rather not buy a new one...
