I'm interested in learning french and am going to the bookstore soon. Does anyone know any good, modern books that will help me learn french? I am not looking to break my wallet so buying an expensive school textbook is not possible for me.

I know that some students have already received letters but i just wanted to know when is the date that everyone will receive a notice of admission or rejection. Thanks in advance.

I'm interested in improving my vocabulary so i was wondering if anyone knew how many words an average person can learn a day. and even then, what's the best way to retain that information? thanks in advanced.
