i've noticed that before a lot of honda engines, it will say JDM. Like JDM B16A or JDM B18C. I'm guessing the JDM has something to do with japanese import but i'm not sure. what does jdm mean?

when people refer, for instance, to their B18 having 9 pounds of boost, what does that mean?
