    Which muscles are used in palm muting on guitar?

    Am I supposed to use my wrist muscles? Because whenever I play slow, I use my wrist. But when I palm mute fast--or at least as fast as I can--I just can't help but strain my bicep. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, but am I? Cuz if I am then what can I do to fix it?

    How do I palm mute faster on guitar?

    Perfect example: Still Waiting - Sum 41 In any guitar cover of that song, you would see the player strumming every note of the intro in down strums.
