    You need to have it in an appropriately sized tank, not to mention a filter and heater. Betta's can live without a filter, but only with VERY frequent water changes. They are much happier with a filter

    I have a 55 gallon tank, pretty well planted, with 4 convict cichlids, 2 currently small oscars, and one 13 inch Pleco and was wondering if I could add to firemouth cichlids with the intention of upgrading to at least a 75 gallon tank within the next year I meant 4 firemouth cichlids

    It is very STRESSED!!! Those fish are TOO BIG for a 10 gallon tank. IF you dont like to see animals die, TAKE THEM OUT!!! If you don't, their deaths will be your FAULT!!!
