So since T-Mobile is giving away all smartphones Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th, I'm thinking about upgrading my tired G1. What's the best/most future-proof/mod-able one they have? I'm looking at the MT4G for its processor & ffc but crave the pure android OS & I haven't found a stable...

They're for 2 complete different uses. The main questions to ask are: Can I live without... 3rd party apps? GPS? 5MP camera? And most importantly... Do I want to leave T-Mobile for AT&T? As for similar capabilities... no. The N95 has many more features and all the basics every other phone has.
