Slinger, Especially when you're folding Gromacs your CPU-temp can go up quite a bit. For me this was a serious problem as I'm addicted to "silent computing" too, having a low airflow rig etc. When you fold (and you should when you have your rig running anyway), keep an eye on those temps...

It started something quite a ways beyond its capabilities. Now it doesn't know what to do. Pretty textbook self-pwnage really. We get a lot of that round here.

You need to get full privileges for that, i.e. two weeks of membership and making twenty posts. You appear to have recently met those requirements, so it should be a matter of time before the system "upgrades" your account.
