my GPS gets a lock within 10-15 seconds. make sure you have assisted gps enabled. allow a few minutes for the initial lock. you will be quite happy with the gps speed once you get it working.

The only alts I have had any issues with is Mirage the GT40, and Prime the truck. I just think the moulds are a shity design. Smae I hate to say it but the Mustangs are my fav, especially Grimlock. He is all kinds of bad ass.
