Toon Zone Talkback - "Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy" Crap

 Good luck trying to sell this, most people don't even know it exists.

Do You Think Death and Diseases Are Too Touchy Subject For Children's Cartoons

Of course not. Kids are gonna eventually know about death, so it would be underestimating their intelligence for a show to hide these things from them.

TALKBACK: It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, ABC @ 8pm

So anyone watching this? I'm sure it's going to be edited badly to fit in it's time slot but it's always nice to see good ol' Chuck on broadcast TV. Charlie Brown's All-Stars is airing afterwards, and that one hasn't aired in prime time in decades.

    Best non talking cartoon babies

I know I'm going to sound like a killjoy by saying this, but here it is: I don't like non-talking, non-fantasy babies in cartoons. Characters like Maggie Simpson, Baby Kate on Arthur and their ilk, I always find myself wondering why they're on their respective shows at all; they're complete...

Total Drama World Tour - "Walk Like an Egyptian" - Talkback [6/10]

It's official... I'm taping the first episode of Total Drama World Tour when it airs on Cartoon Network on the 21st. (Of course, I tape all the episodes. I'm that much of a Total Drama fan. Maybe not as big a fan as, say, Sierra, but still pretty big.) As episodes air on Cartoon Network...

Blog Talkback: Toons of the 2000s: Top 5 Nicktoons

Jimmy Neutron has become a very important character in the Nicktoons universe. Whenever there's a cross-over through videogames and even Universal Studios theme park rides, Neutron is the character to make it happen. So, he's gonna be around as long as Spongebob.

    "Coraline" Talkback (Spoilers)

saw it today. Was pretty good, even if the trailer gave away 3/4 of the movie. Was really surprised by some of the language they got into this with PG as well. (especially since one of the real Dad's lines could easily be misheard) . Good plot, could have used about 15-20 more minutes...

If you had the opportunity to write an ep. for an animated series....

I remember when Tiny Toons held that contest and allowed one of their viewers to basically write a script for an episode, basically that Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian episode. Obviously about half of it was written by actual writers, but it was probably cool to see some of the stuff those three...

    What about Filmation Cartoons

One thing Filmation is famous for is limited animation. Usually the characters just stand around and talk and they're seen walking around the place with their familiar funny walks. And the voice casts are very small, usually the Filmation presidents, Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott, provide...

    The Best Android Handsets

I can't comment as I've never used it for more than a few seconds. But, you have the OPTION to use it (you can turn it off), and many people do like it. So surely having the option in the bigger picture is a plus? Edit: SenseUI also has some other advantages, like better Exchange sync.

Homer's Enemy - Hit or Miss?

Besides we've never really seen what it would be like to WORK with Homer before. We usually see him sleeping or on a donut break. I really sympathized with Homer here who was just being himself and Grimes hated him wholly and without reservation. I've felt that way when people hated me for...

    John K's latest post...

So, basically the only valid type of Animation design is that of the old CLAMPETT Warner Bros. cartoons of the 40's, although peppered with nipples, butts and grotesque closeups? I can't speak for others, but I'd rather have a large variety of animation styles and designs than have everything...

You wish... Cartoon series you wish could happen?

WOW! Great ideas! I liked Wario Ware, Donkey Kong, Calvin and Hobbes, EarthBound, Dib, BOTH Megaman Seinfeild, Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Super Smash Bros., Kirby, Sonic, and the really long Nintendo one the best. My ideas are: Pig 'n Evil: It's about an alien pig named Pig and an alien...
