I don't even know the genre of this music! HELP!

No they are just orchestral pieces or soundtracks. Some opera may be what you are looking for. Try buying some cheap classical CD'S that have choir based tracks. Can't really help you more I'm afraid.

Let your library speak for you

I can't help but wonder what the one 20s song is. The earliest stuff I own is from the 40s and that's Woody Guthrie songs (unless you count my classical to modern compilation double-disc, which includes original performances done from the 20s and 30s... but all are listed as 2007). So would...

    Albums You're Digging II

i know right? this completely passed me by - a new Fall single from Noveraber. It would seem that they are versions that won't be appearing on the new album (due April) as this is a limited ed. tour thing. As for the music, same as ever, with a few subtle differences for the...

Let your library speak for you

    My nurabers are ~ : 1960s - 10% 1970s - 25% 1980s - 20% 1990s - 25% 2000s - 25% That's roughly it, pretty even spread actually. Looking at decimals, the 90s win over the 70s by a gnat's whisker. There's some overlap so the total is over 100. That's because of compilation albums that sometimes...

The Explain Why You Like This Album ('cause i don't understand) Thread

Let's see that discussion ... Summarised: So some albums/banRAB, are liked, and others aren't, but "to each their own, you know". However, people should keep listening to the album they hated, cause they might just "get it". I guess that's what happened so far, and will continue...

    Is Remixed Music Art?

Yeah, I'd definitely call it art - just as much as creating the original music. It involves a creative process and you can't just ignore that because they used something else as a starting point, especially when remix artists often completely overhaul a song's composition.
