how would you take off a catalyic converter on a dodge ram 1500?

is there a problem when i turn my truck off and then get out and hear a
hissing its a noise dodge ram 1500? its v6 4x2 dodge ram 1500 and i just got home and got out and heard a hissing noise coming from the engine im interested because whenever im driving i hear a load humming noise coming from the rear i think and it could be an exhaust leak im just wondering...
