I'd like to cite an essay by Chinua Achebe - however, this essay appears in a book of essays by Robert D Hamner. Normally I would quote like this "bla bla bla" (Hamner p.2) but Hamner didn't write it - Achebe did so do I put (Achebe p.2) - this also seems wrong because Achebe is not the editor...
