    The idle on my 1997 Chevy S10 Pick Up seems to be sticking, any ideas why?

    I have no idea why this is going on. I get it up to 40 and it speeds up with my foot off the accelerator. Like I have cruise control, which I don't. My RPM is 1500...and stays there...It's o.k. at 30 mph, but by 50 it has a mind of it's own. It's even hard to stop....What could be the problem...

    Can someone help me out with this question on my 1997 Chevy S10 Pick-up?

    My truck has a 4.3 L multi-port injection engine. Pulling a code for #3 cylinder mis-fire. I pulled the plug and it IS firing. Compression check is good and fuel pressure is good. Any idea's what the problem might be? Appreciate it, thanks.
