I did go to an allergy doctor, and he said there was nothing he could really do if I had no idea what was causing the hives. I don't think its an allergic reaction because it happens under incredibly different circumstances each time. I just found it strange that they only come out on my back...

Hmmm... I just tried it, and it sort of works. The area doesn't really break into hives, but the area gets red and I can see where I traced. Does this mean that I, at some point, scratch my back and cause the hives?
