Hello, I'm looking into buying a 2007 Scion. I live in New York and we're known for nasty winters. Anyone have any insight on how the scion handles in the snow? I want something safe so I'm also considering a Honda Civic.

Please help! I have the option of buying two cars that I really like. One is a 2006 Jetta with 16,000 miles and the other one is a 2007 Honda Civic with 38,000 miles. The Jetta is $13,500 and the Civic is $13,000. I'm having trouble making a decision because I keep getting mixed opinions...
