    listen to audio thru dvd player from tv, both hooked up with HDMI cables?

    I have a Toshiba flat screen HDTV hooked up to DVR box with HDMI cord. Also have surround sound Phillips DVD player hooked up to TV with HDMI cord. I was wondering how I would go about listening to the audio from the tv thru the surround sound. any help appreciated.
