    Scan lines on picture?

    I recently took some pictures on my Canon Powershot A430. I looked at the pictures and they had some horizontal lines on the picture. They look like scan lines or something. All the pictures I take now have them. Is it possible to fix this with GIMP? Is it something permanent with my camera?
